Cats (not the musical) (2025)

Independently Produced @ Key & Cleaver

Key & Cleaver loved hosting San Diego, I Love You: City Heights so much they asked me to produce another show there. In this play a lonely human seeks companionship from the stray cats in her neighborhood but allergies, medical debt, and inter-cat drama get in the way. This hilarious comedy critiques our human systems and entertains us while raising important questions about what really matters in life.

San Diego, I Love You: City Heights (2025)

Circle Circle dot dot

We got CCdd back together for this reunion show to bring attention to City Heights' local small businesses in the wake of damaging road closures from a delayed construction project. This walking, site-specific adventure play invited audiences out of the theatre and into the community while an intimate love story unfolded in real life locations. Attendees were encouraged to purchase libations at the two main locations, Key & Cleaver and The Tower Bar.

Joy the Blue Caterpillar (2025)

Morgan’s Wonderland

I was commissioned to write this play giving a backstory to the star costume character at Morgan’s Wonderland which is a theme park in San Antonio for people of all abilities. In the play, Joy the blue caterpillar searches for belonging and in the end finds a home at Morgan’s Wonderland and becomes Joy the blue butterfly! They loved the play so much they commissioned me a second time to write a play for Halloween which is currently in rehearsals.

Max Boppins 2.0 (2022)

University of San Diego

In May 2022 I performed my character Max Boppins for Professor Evelyn Diaz Cruz’s Theatre & Community class. Max is like a mix of Mary Poppins and Jason Mraz. I invented Max to help educate people about non-binary gendered folx like myself. Max has two songs right now but I would like to write more. The first song is called “I Love That I’m Non-Binary” and the second song is called “Singular They is Fun to Say.”

San Diego, I Love You #SwipeRight (2018)

Circle Circle dot dot in North Park

The script for this site-specific play was based on interviews with people who identify as bisexual and have extensive experience with online dating. Audiences could watch the story unfold through the perspective of a male version and/or a female version of the main character (Taylor). Boy Taylor and girl Taylor go on the same dates and yet their experiences differ due to their gender. The play unfolded in five local small businesses on the corner of Thorn and 32nd street in North Park.

LGBTQ+ On-Campus (2015)

Circle Circle dot dot @ SDSU

LGBTQ+ On-Campus was a 2-hour rotating installation project on the SDSU campus inspired by true stories of real current LGBTQ+ students living and working with SDSU. CCdd’s goal with the piece was to invite on and off campus audiences to experience short/true ‘slice of life’ scenes taking place in the environment where these stories actually occurred in order to share perspective of the modern LGBTQ+ experience on a college campus. I wrote and directed two of the short pieces and performed in another.

Naughty or Nice (2014)

Circle Circle dot dot @ Tenth Avenue Theatre

"Naughty or Nice" consisted of two very different collections of original premiere short plays from 9 local playwrights (I was one) inspired by contemporary stories of Christmas revelry. "Nice" was a family friendly show for the child in everyone, while "Naughty" peeped into the darker sexier side.
